In the run-up to the ESM (energy-efficient renovation management), the city of Harzgerode, together with the seecon engineers, created an energy-efficient district concept as a basis for the work of the ESM. Within the framework of the ESM, 3 feasibility studies were initially prepared, which roughly correspond to performance phase 2 according to the HOAI. The subject of the feasibility studies is the construction of a new vitality centre with a teaching swimming pool and neighbourhood meeting place, the construction of a climate car park for the users of the industrial and commercial area as well as the residents and the creation of the Park of Generations. The ESM’s activities include technical planning services, project management, consulting on climate-friendly urban development and the establishment of innovative concepts and operator models for energy supply, including the acquisition of subsidies and subsidy management.
