The Mustard Seed Foundation is a philanthropic initiative that supports sustainable engineering solutions for underdeveloped and marginalised communities around the world. Inspired by the biblical mustard seed—small, but capable of growing into something mighty—it focuses on projects in clean water, renewable energy, sanitation, and agriculture that create long-term, community-driven change.
Together with SIERA engineers and partners, the Foundation supports projects where expert planning and technical supervision are donated, so that financial contributions can flow directly into implementation on the ground.
One of these projects is the Solar Energy Project – Nazareth Home for God’s Children in Yendi, northern Ghana. The home, run by Sister Stan, cares for 155 children with special needs and depends on reliable electricity for lighting, cooling, medical equipment, and daily care.
One of these projects is the Solar Energy Project – Nazareth Home for God’s Children in Yendi, northern Ghana. The home, run by Sister Stan, cares for 155 children with special needs and depends on reliable electricity for lighting, cooling, medical equipment, and daily care.
A new 6 kW hybrid solar system with 5.1 kWh battery storage has been installed and technically integrated with the existing 12 kW off-grid system. By optimising the load distribution between both systems, the home now has reliable, sustainable energy—and can focus more fully on caring for the children.
When you donate through the Mustard Seed Foundation, 100% of your contribution goes directly to the Ghana project “Nazareth Home for God’s Children”. All administrative and engineering costs are covered separately.
